Shawn Vardi is the founding partner of THINK Properties, responsible for establishing the infrastructure of the company, and for bringing the principals together under one roof. Shawn is an accomplished real estate executive and broker, with world-class experience in residential management, development, tenant relations and multi-faceted transactions.

Like his partners, he has managed extensive residential portfolios, including 8 years of managing his own family portfolio. Mr. Vardi’s innovative real estate and entrepreneurial experience uniquely qualify him to preside over Think Properties’ daily operations. His inspired ideas on blending residential real estate, hospitality, retail and entertainment will help raise the real estate industry to exciting new levels and formats, using new platforms and new media as integral tools.

In addition to real estate, Shawn Vardi’s background spans several successful business endeavors, including founding and running a jewelry company with 2,000 employees.

Shawn Vardi holds a B.S. in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Northeastern University, magna cum laude. He is also a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).

Hunter Gellin is THINK Properties’ Vice President of Marketing, and brings extensive experience and perspective to our brand.

Mr. Gellin has served as a residential real estate owner and developer in New York City, acting on a long-held goal to re-imagine the real estate business to suit a more technically savvy, more brand-aware buyer/renter. Hunter Gellin has strong relationships with strategic partners in the restaurant, retail and fashion worlds, and believes in taking advantage not only of lifestyle opportunities, but of smart social networks and online relationships.

Prior to THINK Properties, Mr. Gellin earned an outstanding reputation in marketing as Vice President of Ladies’ Sales for Land N Sea, a global manufacturer and distributor. Headquartered New York City, with offices in 14 countries, the company is a licensed supplier for major brands across the USA. In addition to managing hundreds of staff members, Mr. Gellin has also been responsible for nurturing critical relationships in younger demographic arenas.

An entrepreneur by nature, Hunter has co-founded a number of innovative niche companies, products and brands, from New York to LA.

He holds a B.S. in Marketing and International Business from Northeastern University, and has played competitive soccer at the college level.

As THINK Properties’ Chief Operating Officer and a founding partner, Mark Shemel has played multiple roles in the real estate industry, ranging from ownership and management to high level brokerage Mr. Shemel manages $250 million dollars in multi-family residential properties; and has sold approximately $100 million dollars of residential real estate in New York City, Miami, Mexico City and Costa Rica. He is President of National Property Management Group (NPMG), and also owns Park Avenue Suites, providing high quality, temporary furnished apartments to corporate clients including Visa, Quantas, Air France, Disney, ABC and more.

A Licensed Real Estate Broker, Mr. Shemel has an encyclopedic knowledge of New York residential brokerage, landlord-tenant disputes, leases, terms, property management, development, construction codes and housing laws. He serves as the New York Real Estate Expert for AllExperts.com, the largest expert directory in America.

Mark Shemel has been featured in the New York Times, Real Estate Weekly and The Real Deal. He is a member of The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), and president of the Boutique Brokerage Firm Alliance.

Mark holds a B.A. from Union College, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa; and an M.S. in Real Estate Development from NYU. He studied at the University of Rennes, France, and speaks fluent French and Spanish.
